Prayer Letter for September 19th

September 21, 2024
By Moms In Prayer

Dear Parents, House-Parents and Staff:

Have you noticed the frustration, anxiety, complaining, and impatience all around us? Yet, despite all of this, we haven't lost our minds. Personally, I believe it's the hope we have in Christ that sustains us as children of God, giving us the strength to keep going. We wait for fuel prices to drop, for essentials to become affordable, and for our currency to gain value. The list goes on, yet nothing seems to change. Essentially, we are a people in waiting, holding on to the hope we have found in Christ.

"Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us." – Romans 5:5 (NKJV)

Yes, waiting on the Lord is a beautiful thing. Be encouraged, for it gives us access to His promises. Waiting as children of God allows us to exercise our faith, producing patience-- a fruit of the Spirit. While waiting can be draining, our attitude determines its impact on us. It can either be hard and frustrating, or refining and transformative.

Let’s be encouraged to hold on and return to God’s promises, for He is aware, and His timing governs everything. Though our expectations may not have yielded results, we still remain steadfast in His promises-- they will come to pass. In the meantime, we will find strength and renewal.

"But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint." – Isaiah 40:31 (NKJV)

Sincerely,
