We use the NWEA Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) testing for all new students except for Kindergarten. Testing often takes several hours, and covers mathematics and reading, as well as an interview with a teacher.
Our testing will show us where new students compare to US norms and where they compare to their future peers. Tests are online, adaptive tests, meaning that questions get harder or easier until we find the child's ability level.
