Prayer Letter for December 6

December 06, 2023
By Moms In Prayer

Dear Parents, House-Parents and Staff:

It’s amazing to know that the first semester will soon be over and Christmas break approaches! It’s Christmas season, let’s celebrate! The Christmas season is a wonderful and beautiful time of fun and celebration despite all the hardships. Amidst the joy and merriment, it's crucial to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas.

Christmas is more than just a time for parties and festivities; it holds significance as a landmark event in our salvation story. It's an opportunity to express gratitude for the undeserved gift of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Amidst the celebrations, we're reminded to worship in truth and in spirit, allowing God's blessings to flow.

In the midst of our comfort, Christmas urges us to extend love beyond our usual boundaries, reaching out to the needy. This season calls for stepping out of our comfort zone and allowing the Holy Spirit to guide us.

Take a moment to re-examine the motives behind our celebrations. Christmas isn't only about celebration and fun; Christmas is much more than that, it’s about God coming to earth in human flesh, so He could die, paving the way for our salvation. Without Christmas, there would be no hope for any of us. Therefore, let’s remember the real purpose of Jesus' coming—to take away our sins and give us eternal life in heaven.

In the midst of the celebrations, let's share the good news of our reconciliation and joy. Merry Christmas!

Sincerely,

Stella Okeke Mgbajiaka– Meeting Leader:
