The Pineview Hostel operates with the purpose of providing a safe and nurturing environment for students. The Hostel is a home away from home for grades five to twelve, with the Hostel Parents serving as the students’ parents in the absence of the students' natural or legal parents. The Hostel also nurtures the spiritual growth of students staying at the hostel.
Student Conduct: Students are expected to abide by the rules of the school. There are also additional rules regarding conduct, curfew, activities and so on. All students entering the hostel must sign a “Hostel Covenant Agreement.” This agreement spells out the relationship which will be expected between the hostel parents and the students, clearly indicating that hostel parents are acting in the place of parents for students under their care.
Application Process: Students applying to attend Hillcrest School may apply to Pineview Hostel at the same time. Personal parental interviews with the hostel-parents are provided after the admissions interviews. Admission to the school does not guarantee admission to the hostels. A separate application form must be filled out and sent by email to the school. Bookings for hostel interviews must also be made through the Admissions Secretary.
